Disability Insurance: 2010 Plans

Long-term disability insurance is based on your current income and replaces a portion of your lost earnings if you're unable to work due to an illness or injury. You would begin receiving benefit payments after an "elimination period," which is either the 30- or 90-day period starting when your disability begins.

Plan Summary

The plan summary provides a more detailed view of the selected coverage, but don't forget to read the Certificate of Coverage.

Overview:

In addition to the elimination period, your rate is determined by the coverage amount, your age, and your income. The elimination period is the time from the onset of the disability until you can begin receiving benefits.
